Instructions for Facilitators

Each of the weekly modules in this course contains a short video featuring scholars of the text, a study guide, and discussion questions. Certain modules also feature additional resources for further study.

Below is the schedule for which portions of the text are being studied in a given week, occasionally including optional reading when relevant. In addition to reviewing the recommended scripture, you should review the “Questions for Discussion” section each week in order to help facilitate group discussion.

Week 1 – The Fool’s Vision

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapters 10 and 11.

Week 2 – Visions

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapters 12 and 13.
2. Optional: Review texts that focus on visions, like Colossians, Revelation, and Genesis 37-41.
3. Optional: Review 1 Corinthians.

Week 3 – Conciliation

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians 1:1-2:13.

Week 4 – Triumphal Processions

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians 2:14 – 3:18.
2. Optional: Read Jeremiah 31.
3. Optional: read Exodus 34:29-35.

Week 5 – Clay Vessels

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapter 4.

Week 6 – Ministry of Reconciliation

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapter 5.

Week 7 – Interpolation

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapters 6 and 7.

Week 8 – Fundraising

1. Prepare for the session by reading 2 Corinthians chapters 8 and 9.
2. Optional: Read Isaiah 49.
