The Gospel of John is different from the other Gospels. The three synoptic gospels have Jesus eating a Passover meal before he dies, but in John’s Gospel, he doesn’t. Are there other differences?
The most obvious difference is the shared content in the synoptics.
Whether, like I do, you take Markan priority as the explanation or adopt the rival Matthean priority, John is noteworthy for being out of the picture when it comes to their formation.
Of course, this raises the interesting question of whether the author of John knew the synoptics existed or not.
