How did what he wrote meet how I've lived so far?Â
John wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And this was his message: “After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie
When I first became a believer, I didn't care how crazy I looked-I knew that I had a Supernatural encounter and my life was immediately and radically changed. I did not speak to anyone for 2 days, not even my wife-I was so overwhelmed by the awesomeness of God's love for me. I knew in one moment, all the years of being a skeptic and allowing myself to be shaped by emulating the world I lived in, were shaken by God's manifest presence in now what I understand was the Holy Spirit. I was amazed at how people would try to explain away what had happened to me; similar to telling a caterpillar that turns into a butterfly, you are still a caterpillar. They could refute my story, but not my experience or how they saw my heart move from hard and cold to grace and mercy. I think we spend too much time arguing with people who have never experienced something in real time, but come at us from what they have studied in theory or heard (does not require the 5 senses God created us with). When I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit at the Atlanta Convention Center in a room underneath the building, all 5 of my senses were alive and active in that moment. I can tell you 35 years later, what I heard, tasted, felt, saw and heard. Â
