Instructions for Facilitators

Each of the weekly modules in this course contains a short video featuring scholars of the text, a study guide, and discussion questions. Certain modules also feature additional resources for further study.

Below is the schedule for which portions of the text are being studied in a given week, occasionally including optional reading when relevant. In addition to reviewing the recommended scripture, you should review the “Questions for Discussion” section each week in order to help facilitate group discussion.

Week 1 – Introduction to the Course

1. Prepare for the session by familiarizing yourself with Philemon, 1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, James, 1-3 John, 1 and 2 Peter, and Jude.

Week 2 – The Epistle to Philemon

1. Prepare for the session by reading Philemon.
2. Optional: Read 1 Corinthians 7 and Galatians 3:28.

Week 3 – The Pastoral Epistles

1. Prepare for the session by reading 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus.

Week 4 – The Epistles of James

1. Prepare for the session by reading James.

Week 5 – The Johannine Epistles

1. Prepare for the session by reading 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John.
2. Optional: Review John’s Gospel.

Week 6 – 1 and 2 Peter and Jude

1. Prepare for the session by reading 1 Peter, 2 Peter, and Jude.
2. Optional: Review Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
