Instructions for Facilitators

Each of the weekly modules in this course contains a short video featuring scholars of the text, a study guide, and discussion questions. Certain modules also feature additional resources for further study.

Below is the schedule for which portions of the text are being studied in a given week, occasionally including optional reading when relevant. In addition to reviewing the recommended scripture, you should review the “Questions for Discussion” section each week in order to help facilitate group discussion. If you are interested in a shorter study, you may want to consider breaking this into two 3-part studies.

Week 1 – The Book of Jeremiah, Part 1

1. Prepare for the session by reading Jeremiah chapters 1-25, focusing especially on chapters 1-7.
2. Optional: Be familiar with the other Major Prophets: Daniel, Ezekiel, and Isaiah.

Week 2 – The Book of Jeremiah, Part 2

1. Prepare for the session by reading Jeremiah chapters 26-45.
2. Optional: Read Deuteronomy 12-28.

Week 3 – The Book of Jeremiah, Part 3

1. Prepare for the session by reading Jeremiah chapters 36 and 46-52.

Week 4 – The Book of Ezekiel, Part 1

1. Prepare for the session by reading Ezekiel chapters 1-11.

Week 5 – The Book of Ezekiel, Part 2

1. Prepare for the session by reading Ezekiel chapters 8 and 12-36, with a focus on chapters 8, 18, and 36.
2. Optional: Read Exodus 7-8.

Week 6 – The Book of Ezekiel, Part 3

1. Prepare for the session by reading Ezekiel chapters 37-48, with a focus on chapter 37.
