As I read the first two chapters of the Gospel of Matthew I noticed the part about the slaughter of the innocent children , When Mary and Joseph fled into EQYPT I wondered where did Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth had fled Question did they flee to EQYPT as well.

The book of Matthew is a very interesting book to read

The Book of Matthew is indeed an interesting book, providing all the genealogical information about Jesus and his descendants. What I also find fascinating is how God guided the Shepherds through dreams, how they obeyed foiling Herod's axis of evil. I have often wondered how the animals responded the baby Jesus and his mother invading their space. Did they huddle  around the babe on bended knees in a posture of worship , as well as acting as a blanket to keep mom and child warm? Surely!
